Our Philosophy
Yak Expeditions (P) Ltd. was founded in 2002 and it represents a shared dream of two climbers, Mr Ang Lhakpa Sherpa (Nepali) and Mr Jussi Juutinen (Finnish). The company sprang from the desire to fulfil dreams of fellow mountaineers; i.e. to offer people who also dream about mountains and mountaineering an affordable opportunity to experience the beauty and tranquillity of the Himalayas. Furthermore Yak Expeditions places great importance on local culture and environmental protection and these are the values respected in all of our treks and expeditions. With Yak Expeditions a trek or an expedition is never merely a trip to a foreign land but a journey into local culture and philosophy as well as an unforgettable experience in one of the most mesmerizing landscapes of the planet.
