Mountaineering Introductory Course
Yak Expeditions arranges mountaineering courses in Mount Everest National Park area in Island Peak and Lobuche East. Whether you are a complete novice in Himalayan mountaineering or want to improve your winter climbing skills and gain experience from two 6000 meter mountains this is a course for you. During this course we teach skills of glacier travel, crevasse rescue, rope work, ice and snow climbing, cramponing and winter camping.
The course is guided and full board. It starts by group meeting in Kathmandu. It is also possible to join us directly in Everest National Park if you prefer to arrange your own trekking.
- Length with Island Peak: 20 days
- Length with Lobuche East: 20 days
- Length with Island Peak and Lobuche East: 24 days
